GREEN BAY, Wis. - Senator Barack Obama returns to Wisconsin on Monday with polls showing the presidential race a dead heat in Wisconsin.
The Democrat plans a noon rally at the Resch Center in Green Bay. The event is free and open to the public.
That's the same location where his GOP rival Senator John McCain and running mate Sarah Palin held a rally with an estimated 10,000 people last week.
The dueling visits to Green Bay underscore the area's importance in deciding who wins in Wisconsin. The city is filled with the kind of independent, working class voters the campaigns are trying to win over.
Obama's visit is his third in the last month to Wisconsin, where a poll released last week showed Obama leading McCain by just one point.
Also this week, Obama's wife Michelle will stop in Madison, Wausau and West Allis.
Campaign officials say Michelle Obama will appear at GAR Memorial Park at Camp Randall Monday morning before holding afternoon events at the University of Wisconsin Marathon County in Wausau and at Central High School in West Allis.
