MCcain and palin to campaign here

McCain, Palin to campaign in Minnesota.

Last update: September 14, 2008 - 9:24 PM

Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin, will campaign in the Twin Cities at the end of the week.

The McCain campaign says they will be at a rally Friday morning in the Key Air Hangar at the Anoka County-Blaine Airport. Tickets to the event are available at the campaign's Minnesota website or at any of the nine McCain's Minnesota campaign offices.

It will be the first visit to Minnesota by any of the presidential or vice presidential candidates since McCain and Palin accepted their respective nominations at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul during the first week of September.

The visit comes as a new Star Tribune Minnesota Poll finds that McCain and Democrat Barack Obama are tied in Minnesota at 45 percent each.
