The defeated levies

The groups who brought suit fought these levy requests:

Robbinsdale district: The levy for $22.8 million a year for 10 years was to replace a current levy with a larger one. It was defeated 53 percent to 47 percent.

Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted district: The first levy, a renewal, lost 52 percent to 48 percent. It was for $188,000 a year for 10 years. The second -- for $94,000 a year for 10 years -- went down 56 percent to 44 percent.
