DFL gubernatorial candidate Matt Entenza picked up the endorsement from the Minnesota chapter of the National Organization for Women, his campaign announced Sunday. The nod is one of Entenza's first from an institutional endorser.
The Minnesota NOW political action committee met Saturday.
The nod might not be the most powerful out there -- the PAC had less than $1,000 cash-on-hand, according to recent campaign finance records -- but could be a slight to DFL candidate Margaret Anderson Kelliher. Kelliher, who has the DFL endorsement and support from local and national women's groups, is the only woman running for governor.
Entenza, Kelliher and U.S. Sen. Mark Dayton will vie in an Aug. 10 primary for the DFL nomination.
