Sen. Al Franken, a sharp-eyed critic of the conservative right, today revealed another weapon in his arsenal against Republicans: he can draw them to a T.
An Associated Press photographer caught Franken sketching a spot-on portrait of Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, ranking Republican on the judiciary committee, during today's Supreme Court confirmation hearing for Solicitor General Elena Kagan.
While it's unclear whether the sketch will somehow play into Franken's questioning of the nominee, it does show off the Minnesota senator's eye for detail.
