Mississippi's a little miffed at Entenza dis

Democrat Matt Entenza Thursday released a television ad that said "If budget cuts were always the answer, then Mississippi would be a leader in this country."

Mississippi's not so pleased at the reference, according to the Associated Press.

Dan Turner, spokesman for Mississippi's Republican governor, Haley Barbour, told The Associated Press on Friday: "Before someone makes a disparaging remark about Mississippi, they probably ought to come spend some time here."

Entenza has been in Mississippi. He said he worked as an attorney for the U.S. Justice Department's civil rights division.

The piece, which you can read in toto here, also says that a politician from Illinois apologized for insulting The Magnolia State in his comparison.

Mississippi may be a bit more concerned about a campaign different from Entenza. Gulf Coast Mississippi has started a campaign trying to convince people to come to the coast despite the BP leakage:
