The group was told no singing was allowed in the Capitol so ISAIAH president Rev. Paul Slack led the group in a beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace outdoors on the Capitol steps.

Rev. Charles Gill of Pilgrim Baptist Church, St. Paul read from the book of Jeremiah in the Capitol Rotunda.

Rev. Brian Heron of Zion Baptist Church, Minneapolis told the crowd, "We are not here as beggars today, we are not here as pigs wanting to feed at the public trough,  we are here demanding a relationship with our elected officials."

Rev. Latonya Fakir or St. Peters Church in Minneapolis prayed that god would be with them as they visited legislators later that day.
