Former Republican U.S. Sen. Olympia Snowe will headline a June event in Minneapolis, hosted by WomenWinning.

Snowe, a centrist from Maine, retired last year saying: "I do not realistically expect the partisanship of recent years in the Senate to change over the short term."

According to WomenWinning, which helps female candidates who support abortion access, Snowe "will be speaking to the theme 'It Takes Everyone to Make History' while telling her story and speaking to the importance of electing women to government."

Since February, Snowe has been a senior fellow at the Bipartisan Policy Center.

The WomenWinning luncheon event featuring Snowe will be at Minneapolis' Milwaukee Depot. Tickets start at $150.
