50 refugees from Burma and Nepal who attend the M.O.R.E. Multicultural School for Empowerment in St. Paul toured the Capitol Monday. They were there to lobby legislators in the school's district for bills on the minimum wage and education funding. They also received a first hand civics lesson on who the the Governor is, what the U.S. and state flags represent and how to say the work elevator. Here they looked over the state flag in the reception room.

Khrn Mauand, 71, reached over the railing with his cane to see if the bronze eagle he touched was hard or soft.

MORE executive director, Cathy Rucci, explained that Governor Dayton was the highest ranking legislator in the state.

Senator Jeff Hayden greeted the group as he headed into a hearing.
