Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney announced a Minnesota state finance team Friday tilting heavily toward Twin Cities businessmen and GOP fundraisers.

The group is being chaired by investment banker Scott Honour, with former Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman as honorary finance chairmen.

Rounding out the group are banker and private investor Craig Bentdahl, Deloitte & Touche CPA Paul Maynard, Entrust Bankcard advisory board member Dirk Bak, and Public Affairs Co. CEO Steve Knuth.

Also on the list is Bill Guidera, a Minnesota-based executive with Fox News who was talked about last year as a potential GOP challenger to Sen. Amy Klobuchar.

“With the help of my Minnesota finance team, we will be able to raise the funds to defeat President Obama and change the direction of the country,” Romney said in a statement.
