Add Jesse Ventura to the list of Minnesota politicos weighing 2012 bids for the White House.

The former governor told Good Morning America this morning that he would "give great consideration" to being U.S. Rep. Ron Paul's running mate if he ran as an independent. Paul has previously run for president as both a Libertarian and a Republican.

Ventura, whose shoot-from-the-hip statements and conspiracy theories have kept him in the news since leaving office, appeared on GMA to promote his new book: "63 Documents the Government Doesn't Want You to Read."

Ventura said he will not consider a VP slot if Paul runs with a party. "I will not be a Democrat or Republican. They are the problem not the solution. We need to abolish political parties in this country."

He added that he will not vote for U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, who is considering a run for the presidency.

GMA noted that this isn't the first time we've watched Ventura mull a bid for the White House. Read up on his last possible running mate here (vid below)
