Sen. Amy Klobuchar has a lot to be thankful for in a new poll of Minnesota politicians' favorability ratings.

North Carolina-based Public Policy Polling found that 59 percent of Minnesotans have a favorable opinion of Klobuchar's job performance, making her more popular than any of the 66 other senators PPP has polled on.

Only 45 percent approve of Sen. Al Franken's job performance, while 42 percent disapprove.

Looking to 2012, Gov. Tim Pawlenty comes closest to rivaling Klobuchar's seat, but still trails her by 10 points (53-43). U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann was far behind in a potential match up against Klobuchar -- 17 points.

Other Republicans included in the poll were former Sen. Norm Coleman, Rep. Tom Emmer and U.S. Rep. Erik Paulsen.

More people felt unfavorable about Bachmann than anyone else in the poll. Just 37 percent of Minnesotans have a favorable opinion of Bachmann, compared to 51 percent with an unfavorable opinion. Bachmann also drew the fewest number of people who were "not sure."

PPP polled 949 Minnesota voters between Dec. 4 and 5. The margin of error is +/- 3.2 percent.

See the key page of results below:

Update: This post was updated to reflect that Bachmann trails Klobuchar by 17, not 26 points. Also, Republican Tom Emmer, not Bachmann, is the worst performing Klobuchar opponent.
