This is going to take a while.

The Minnesota Secretary of State Friday released a proposed recount schedule, if the margin between Democrat Mark Dayton and Republican Tom Emmer does not widen in the next few weeks.

The schedule wouldn't certify a new governor until Dec. 14. Yes, Dec. 14. The new governor is supposed to take off on Jan. 3. If there is a post-recount contest the proposed schedule make that date a tough one to hit.
