Bradley Crowder of Austin, Texas, pleaded guilty this morning in federal court in Minneapolis to possession of a destructive device during the Republican National Convention last fall.
He faces up to 46 months in prison, but a judge could give him more time. His sentencing has not been scheduled.
Crowder was one of two Austin men indicted for allegedly making and plotting to use Molotov cocktails at the convention. He and David McKay have been held in custody since the convention in early September.
According to the indictment against him, Crowder was the leader of the Austin Affinity Group and came to Minneapolis last May to meet with others and discuss plans for disrupting the convention.
He was arrested for disorderly conduct on Sept. 1 and held without bail.
