Reaction from Minneapolis

Last update: September 3, 2008 - 11:21 PM

"It looks like she's just sticking with the same points. There's nothing new coming out. She's a good speaker, I'll give her that.''

Chris Neu, 33, Minneapolis.

"I think she's extremely well-spoken. I'm pleasantly surprised by what I've heard from her so far. We'll fill a lot of need with her resonating with moms and dads and kids.''

Britta Schnell, 22, Minneapolis.

"I'm mixed. I think she's giving the crowd what they want. She's being a little catty. She's relating to the average guy. She's holding her own very well in terms of a woman from a small town speaking in front of the whole world.''

Amber Brown, 34, Minneapolis.

"I'm not impressed with her. I don't think she has experience dealing with urban issues. She makes herself sound really nice, but I don't believe anything she says. She's personable.''

Alexis Barrett, 25, Minneapolis.
