U.S. Senate candidate Al Franken has hired a new campaign manager with experience in helping a Democratic challenger unseat a Republican incumbent.
Stephanie Schriock is a Mankato native who got her start working for DFLers Mary Rieder in 1996 and former Congressman Bill Luther in 1998.
In 2006, she was campaign manager for Montana Democrat Jon Tester, who defeated incumbent Republican Sen. Conrad Burns.
Franken is seeking the DFL endorsement next month to take on incumbent Republican Norm Coleman in November. Schriock is scheduled to start her duties in early June.
Franken communications director Andy Barr says he and campaign staffer David Benson have been splitting management duties up until now. He says he and Benson will both stay on and that the campaign's intention was always to hire a full-time manager closer to the general election.

Integrity and credibility are very much an issue. Franken has been bashing Republicans for years calling them liars, that they weren't … read more credible, and that he hated corporations that don't follow the rules. From recent revelantions, we know Franken is a liar, isn't credible, and his corporation didn't follow the rules.
