Governors and sex have made for interesting news lately. New York's governor was tossed out of office in a prostitution scandal, and Minnesota's chief executive expressed tongue-in-cheek woe that his sex life be gone.
Now Playboy Radio is putting the nation's governors under the "sexiest" microscope, with high-priced Los Angeles call girls giving them the once over.
The list, due out in Playboy's next issue, puts former competitive muscleman and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger of California at the top.
Eliot Spitzer, the newly former New York governor Eliot Spitzer, comes in 18th.
As for the Upper Midwest, Iowa's Chet Culver takes the bronze and North Dakota's John Hoeven ranks No. 12, both faring much better than their regional counterpart Tim Pawlenty.
Minnesota's chief executive joshed last week on WCCO Radio that his wife is enthusiastic about going fishing with him, but "if I could only get her to have sex with me."
He didn't make the list.
A few female governors earned mention. Jennifer Granholm of Michigan (No. 2); Sarah Palin of Alaska (No. 8) and Janet Napolitano of Arizona (No. 14).
