U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann proved in June that her fundraising prowess extends to state campaigns, according a new campaign finance report.

The Republican congresswoman's new state political action committee, called MichelePAC, received $15,000 in contributions in June. Unlike her federal fundraising groups, she can use that money to contribute to people running for state office.

Bachmann has said that she plans to contribute the maximum to all Republicans running for state House and Senate in the Sixth Congressional District. Her Minnesota-based MichelePAC allows her to do that.

Although the Minnesota group had almost no contributions through mid-June in the campaign finance report released Wednesday, which covers spending through mid-July, shows two large donations for a $15,000 haul. According to the report, Plymouth's Charles Barry, of Twin Cities Fan Companies, contributed $5,000 and Little Canada's Ken Larson, of Slumberland, contributed $10,000.

The PAC has yet to contribute any money to campaigns.
