Marcus Bachmann is looking forward to being "first gentleman."

In a fundraising pitch to conservatives, the husband of presidential candidate Michele Bachmann said his wife's election as president next year would "turn our economy around" and "put our nation back on a path towards prosperity.''

"I promise you as first gentleman my role will be to honor America with dignity, class, and grace,'' he wrote in the fundraising note. "I will never apologize for America, a country blessed and led by our Almighty God."

He said his wife is a "rock solid, principled fiscal conservative and has a moral set of beliefs.''  He added: "She has not and will not be influenced by lobbyists, special interest groups, or the Washington bubble of elitists.'' He said her "conservative values and message of limited government and lower taxes are resonating with millions across the United States."
