Lee Ehmke, director of the Minnesota Zoo, stood in the Lava Tube, where zoo visitors will be able to watch grizzlies catch trout from a pond through a large window looking out onto Bear Meadow. The zoo’s new $30 million exhibit, Russia’s Grizzly Coast, will open June 7.
