Coxswain Marcus McElhenney stood in the American men’s eight boat as the rowers celebrated their bronze medal performance. The U.S. rallied from last place in the final 500 meters for their second consecutive Olympic medal in rowing’s glamour event. “When I first started rowing in high school, I never thought I’d be in the Olympics,’’ said Micah Boyd, a graduate of St. Paul Central High.
