RENEE JONES SCHNEIDER ¥ reneejones@startribune.com St. Paul, MN - March 14, 2007 - Crystal Brown, 17, holds an old poster she had hung around her neighborhood after her dog Chevey went missing in February. Two weeks later Brown received a package wrapped in wrapping paper with the severed dog's head inside. She recently got a new puppy, Diesel who played beside her. Brown has had dogs for the past four years to help her cope with loneliness, depression and bi-polar disorder.
