Landfall mayor Greg "Flash" Feldbrugge, a handyman by trade, checks his mail outside the trailer home he got for free and then renovated. To most residents of Landfall the mayor is known by his knickname: "Flash". Landfall is a city comprised of residents of a mobile home park with one business- a massive Harley-Davidson dealership. Last month, a respected organization named Landfall one of the 100 best communities in the nation for young people. Feldbrugge was once a addict and alcoholic. "I used to come here to party as a kid," he said. Now he has helped make Landfall a model for other mobile home parks and other communities, in part, by reaching out and helping others. "In a community as small as ours, one person can make a huge difference," Feldbrugge often says, crediting the phrase to someone else who lives in Landfall.
