While the farm is far from tribal lands Crooks and Symmes raise buffalo and sell much of the meat to the the Shakopee tribe in for the dinner buffet at Mystic Lake in Prior Lake. The couple currently have 58 buffalo. "I can't keep up," with demand for buffalo meat, said Symmes, explaining that beyond the demand at Mystic Lake, more people are becoming health conscious and wanting buffalo for its lean meat.
