Kay Trapp’s diagnosis this winter with acute myelogenous leukemia made her friends aware of the need for bone marrow donors. The drive in her name, initiated as a way to help out others, is part of the National Marrow Donor Program’s “Thanks Mom” campaign taking place around Mother’s Day. She is undergoing chemotherapy.
