Parents Tom and Lisa Kimlinger (left) and palliative care specialists gathered around 11-year-old Amber Kimlinger during a recent meeting in the family's home. Amber has a rare genetic disorder called Lenz-Majewski syndrome that causes dwarfism among other serious medical problems. The team helps her parents decide on appropriate treatment.
