The Northrop Mall at the University of Minnesota was a well-traveled path Monday amid the light snow. An inch or two of snow fell in Minneapolis and St. Paul as of early Monday night, covering the ice that has developed on many city walks after a month of thawing, freezing, thawing and refreezing.
