History buffs will have a chance to tour the western portion of the Rock Island Swing Bridge today. National Park Service rangers will lead tours to talk about the bridge, thought to have been used by gangster John Dillinger to elude cops in the 1930s. Closed for years, the bridge might be saved as a pedestrian walkway or interpretive display.
