Ben Hirst, vice president of corporate affairs and general counsel for Northwest Airlines, testified Friday in St. Paul before a House committee examining the proposed merger of his company and Delta Air Lines. The panel is examining what the deal would mean to jobs, consumers, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and Northwest’s financial obligations to the state. Hirst told legislators that he doubted Delta would move the airline’s corporate headquarters from Atlanta to Minnesota.
