Elko New Market Officer Steve Malecka stopped a driver going the wrong way on 4 lane Hy 2 through New Market last August. The driver, who was thought to have been drinking, stopped 6 inches from his brand new squad cars front bumper. He placed his squad at a diagonal across the road because there were several cars come up behind him unaware of the wrong-way driver.
