Elizabeth Sherman fulfilled her pre-bankruptcy filing credit counseling requirement in her attorney Tim Theisen's storage room on a computer that he purchased for that purpose. Anyone going bankrupt must complete credit counseling and receive a certificate prior to filing, another expense of filing for bankruptcy since the reform of 2005.
