Colton Witte, left, and Sean Bloomfield, both 18, graduated early from Chaska High School this spring so they could begin a canoe trip that followed the route of a similar journey made in 1930 by the late newsman Eric Severaid. From his trip, Severaid wrote the book, "Canoeing with the Cree.'' This photo of Witte and Bloomfield was taken in northern Manitoba.
