Susan Montgomery of Minneapolis, center, and her son Dyvonte, 3, were among the 32 participants in a “lie-in” outside the State Capitol to mark the year anniversary of the Virginia Tech shootings. Participants staged the event to “call attention to the fact that it is too easy for criminals and mentally ill individuals to obtain guns in Minnesota,” according to a statement by Protect Minnesota.
