Minneapolis South’s Ephesia Holmes got a pass off in spite of the tight Hopkins defense late in Thursday’s Class 4A, Section 6 final. Battling flu-like symptoms, the senior guard scored nine second-half points as the Tigers won 51-42, advancing to the state tournament.
