Surgical technologists and surgical technology students participated in a mock knee replacement procedure in the Great Hall of the Capitol Thursday, April 11, 2013 to bring attention to to bills that would ensure standards for the now unregulated profession.
Representatives Paul Anderson, left, and Mike Sundin, right watched the mock knee replacement intently. Sundin's father recently had the procedure and Sundin himself has been told he needs one soon.
Senators Bill Ingebrightsen and Sean Nienow watched the mock knee replacement.
A Duluth native who just barely lost Virginia's GOP gubernatorial primary said that politicians have not gone far enough in condemning the left for violence during a rally of white nationalists in Charlottesville. "I think that the left is going to try to use this as an excuse to crack down on conservative free speech," said Corey Stewart. "I think they're going to try to use this as an excuse to remove more historical monuments."
