Sally Smith

Corporate legend has it that the Buffalo Wild Wings' founder moved the fledgling company to Minnesota in part to lure Smith, a promising young chief financial officer, to become CEO. Smith was named chief executive and president in July 1996 and a director in August 1996. Before joining the company, she was the CFO of Dahlberg, Inc., where she was mentored by company founder Ken Dahlberg, who was also an early investor in the restaurant company.
