Gov. Tim Pawlenty couldn't get the Vikings a new stadium but he thinks his successor will get the team a new home.
"I think it's highly likely, highly likely to get done because it has to," Pawlenty said in answer to a question at a St. Paul Chamber appearance.
Pawlenty didn't say how it would get done and outlined all the well-known barriers to the Vikings getting a new home, but he still thinks a new stadium is in the offing in the next few years.
