The Tony-winning revival of "Porgy and Bess" will make a stop at the Ordway Center in St. Paul next season. No casting has been announced for the operatic musical, which starred Audra McDonald and David Alan Grier on Broadway.

"The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess" (March 25-30, 2014) is part of a 2013-14 Ordway theater season lineup that also includes Andrew Lloyd Webber's new version of "The Wizard of Oz"(Dec. 4-29) and "Bring It On: The Musical," the splashy show about extreme competition (May 13-18, 2014).

The Ordway is coproducing a new version of "Miss Saigon" (Oct. 8-13) and also is offering a brief engagement of the Blue Man Group (April 29-May 4, 2014).

The Ordway roster includes three more installments of its Broadway Songbook series, all hosted by its programming head, James Rocco. The first, "Musicals of the 1950s," takes place Oct. 17-20 and is followed by one on George Gershwin (Jan. 3-5, 2014) and then one on Comden and Green, the team behind "On the Town" (June 13-15, 2014).

The Ordway also announced its world music and dance series. The music slate consists of the spiritual offerings of Lizz Wright & Raul Midón (Oct. 25); an evening of Yemeni and West African music (Oct. 27); South African vocal powerhouses Ladysmith Black Mambazo (Feb. 9, 2014), and Cape Verdean chanteuse Maria de Barros (Feb. 19, 2014).

The dance card kicks off with hip-hop phenom Rennie Harris Puremovement (Feb. 7, 2014) and is followed by the innovative Axis Dance Company (March 21, 2014) and TU Dance of the Twin Cities (May 10, 2014).

"We're thrilled to announce such a varied and extraordinary selection of productions for the new season," said Ordway president and CEO Patricia Mitchell.
