The Bell Museum of Natural History is in a perfect place on the Minneapolis campus of the University of Minnesota (“At Legislature, good ideas never truly die,” Lori Sturdevant column, April 14).

I’ve been bringing my children and grandchildren there for more than 40 years. It’s a one-of-a-kind, magical place for people of all ages. Guests can quietly view the wonders of animals presented in their natural habitat. They also get a taste of history as they visit the beautiful old building, which could be easily updated for people who are disabled, as it already has an elevator.

The museum welcomes children in an unobtrusive way to the joy of learning. The museum should never be moved.
