Star Tribune photographers beautifully capture the moment.
In the Longfellow neighborhood of South Minneapolis, 18-year veteran mail carrier Greg Wallin was trudging through the snow finishing up his mail delivery on schedule in spite of the weather. "It's pretty. You dress for it and it's o.k."
There were two exceptional photos in Tuesday's paper: the beautiful one of Nicollet Mall and the IDS Center after dark, and the one of a mailman trudging through the snow, also in the early darkness. Kudos to the photographers, and to the Star Tribune for publishing them. It is truly a gift to have such an eye for composition, mood and storytelling -- and the photographers passed that "gift" on to readers! Many thanks.
