Here's a way to stop invasives: Require photo IDs for boaters.
In order to halt the infestation of our waters by alien invasive species, we need to pass a constitutional amendment requiring valid state-issued photo IDs to launch a boat in Minnesota. Impersonating a citizen concerned with preserving the natural beauty of our lakes is a fraud we cannot live with. Every day, hundreds of anonymous boaters may be dropping Eurasian milfoil, zebra mussels and dangerous flying Asian carp into our pristine waters. By installing cameras and scanners at every launch, we can catch these criminals and preserve the natural resource that makes this state such a wonderful place to live and play.
