Let's go to the tape

Last update: November 11, 2009 - 3:05 PM

Fox News' Sean Hannity had Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann on his program to celebrate the success of her Capitol Hill tea party last week.

"Twenty-plus thousand people showed up. Were you as surprised as I was," an astonished Hannity asked the Sixth District Republican.

"Absolutely, I was," said Bachmann. "We had no idea ... Complete word of mouth, and the estimates are between 20 and 45,000 people had assembled."

Of course, Fox had the video to prove the representative's point, but "The Daily Show" caught something a little odd in the tape.
