Corrections and clarifications

Last update: October 22, 2007 - 6:13 PM

An item on Page A1 Monday credited Vikings running back Adrian Peterson with an incorrect number of carries in Sunday's loss to Dallas. He carried the ball 12 times.

An incorrect venue was listed for a museum exhibit on Page AA4 in some editions Sunday. "Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street?" is at the Minnesota Children's Museum.

CLARIFICATION

A story on Page B1 Monday explored U.S. Senate candidate Al Franken's changing views on the Iraq war, including statements in one of his books criticized by opposing candidate Mike Ciresi. Franken said at a Sept. 30 debate, and his staff says now, that statements in the book about Franken's fear over weapons of mass destruction were satirical, not serious.

About Opinion Exchange

Opinion Exchange is produced by the Editorial Department, which is dedicated to hosting the discussion on a range of issues of interest to Star Tribune readers online and in print. In its new format, it's our hope that Opinion Exhange will create a more dynamic dialogue between Star Tribune readers and the Editorial Board. Many individual posts will be written and signed by members of the Editorial Board and will reflect their own opinions. Daily editorials will continue to represent the institutional voice of the newspaper and be researched and written by the Editorial Department, which is independent of the newsroom.
