Berg, Keith Alan of Northeast Minneapolis, died unexpectedly Monday, September 7th at the young age of 56. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Hammer and his beautiful and brilliant daughters, Claire and Anna Berg and constant companion, his dog Buster. He is also survived by his mother, Jan Berg; siblings, Joy Herman, Karen Piper (Jeff) and Dale Berg (Jane); sisters-in-law, Colleen Hammer, Barbara Hammer and 7 nieces and nephews, as well as his entire Palmer's Bar "Family" and many, many friends. Preceded in death by his father, Arne Berg; and father- and mother-in-law, Robert Hammer, Jr. and Dorothy Hammer. Keith grew up in North Mankato, Minnesota, travelled to Minneapolis to attend the U of M to study Math, Biology & Science. He landed on the West Bank in the late 70's and never left. Keith loved life-especially his precious daughters, his friends, his dog, FISHING and to talk and philosophize. He was a prolific reader and student of life. He was a well-known member of the West Bank Community for over 30 years, bartending at and then owning and operating Palmer's Bar for over 14 years. A Celebration of Keith's life will be held on Saturday, September 12th from 1:00-5:00 (Eulogy at 3:00 pm) at Palmer's Bar, 500 Cedar Ave So , Minneapolis. Following in West Bank tradition, a potluck meal will be served. He was greatly loved and will be missed forever but has left a lasting heartfelt legacy.
