Haugen, John Edward "Bud" Died in Geneva, Switzerland on August 24, at age 76. He took with him an encyclopedic knowledge of baseball and traditional American jazz, and the enduring love of his extended family and many friends in the US, Switzerland, Canada, and France. Bud is survived by his wife Anita Haugen and step-sons Luciano and Loreno; his daughter Virginia Lundin, her husband Ian, and their children Jenna and Axel; his daughter Lucia Haugen Lundin and her sons Harry, Adam, Jack, and William Lundin; his sons Oliver and Brian, Brian's companion Geraldina Marzano and their son Sam Haugen; and his sons' mother, Marie-Christine Haugen. Bud's sisters and their families: Marcy Homer and husband Steve, their daughters Susan Homer, Kristen Homer, and Katie Ryan; Phebe Haugen and her sons Conlin and Timothy Gaffney; Jane Haugen West, her husband Dobson, and their children Daniel and Sarah West and John Beebe-West. Bud leaves, as well, his best friend in the world, Steve (Stanley) Chamberlin. He will be deeply missed for his humor ("You can't beat laughs for laughs," he always said), for his gratitude for all that he had, even in the worst of times, and for his enduring love of life. Services will be held in Geneva and are pending in Minneapolis.
