Callahan, Francis A. Age 88 of Edina, MN and Naples, FL. Passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 in Naples, FL. He is a University of Minnesota graduate with a degree in Parks and Recreation. He went on to work in the Parks and Recreation departments of Minneapolis, St. Louis Park, Bloomington, Chanhassen and Edina. Francis also worked for the Borson Construction Company in property management when he helped develop Skyline in St. Paul, Oak Grove Towers in Minneapolis, Valley View and in Rochester. His last job was Swimming Pool Inspector for the Edina Health Department. He was a 20 year member of the Quail Run Golf Club in Naples FL. Francis was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Florence, brothers Eugene and Roger and sister-in-law Mary Ost. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Sally Callahan. Memorials are preferred to the Minnesota Recreation and Park Foundation (MRPF), 200 Charles Street NE. Fridley, MN 55432. Service 10:30 AM Thursday, July 30th. With visitation 1 hour prior.
