Behme, Timothy Donald 46, of Eagan, died July 10. Tim, who liked to spell his name "Ptim," had a unique ability to make just about anyone laugh with his humorous observations. He also took sincere interest in people, relishing long conversations. Teaching was a great joy for him, especially his students at the University of Minnesota. Tim had struggled with a chronic illness for the past several years. He is survived by his incredibly devoted wife, Beth, and their sons, Benjamin and Zachary, who all adored him. He is also survived by his father, Jerry (Bonnie) of Plymouth, brothers Todd (Joan) of Woodridge, Ill., and Chris of Plymouth, sister Jenni (Seth) Henriksen of Excelsior, uncle Steve (Sandy) Johnson of Minnetonka, sister-in-law Ginny (Mark) Betzer of St. Louis Park, father- and mother-in-law John and Gileen Wahman of St. Cloud, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, Judi Behme, and grandparents Donald and LaVerne Johnson and Jerome and Leah Behme. Tim had a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, a master's degree from Northern Illinois University and a bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State University. He graduated in 1986 from St. Thomas Academy and was most recently employed by the University of Minnesota. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at 11 AM at Church of the Annunciation, 509 W. 54th St., Minneapolis. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 14, from 4-7 PM at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 5801 Lyndale Ave. S. Minneapolis, and for 1 hour prior to the Mass at church.
