Peterson, Ann E. (Hinrichs) 85, of The Meridian in Galveston, TX, formerly of Dallas, TX and St Paul, MN, went to her heavenly home on April 16, 2015. Ann was preceded in death by her parents Don and Esther Hinrichs of St. Paul, MN and her sister Joan Johnson (Bill) also of St. Paul, MN. Ann is survived by her husband of 58 years, Royce D. Peterson and her three children, Royce N. (Georgia), Julie Baker (Frank) and David (Susan), and four grandchildren, Austin Baker (Sara), Annie Baker, Bethany and Brandt Peterson. She will be missed by her loving nephews and nieces, Ted (BJ), Rick (Kathy) and Steve (Lee) Johnson and Judy Sieve, Patrick (Sharon) and Mike (Linda) Scholz, Penny Bahnsen (Mark) and Jack Myhervold. Ann grew up in St Paul during the Depression and World War II and earned her X-Ray technologist license in the early 1950's. After retiring, she pursued her many hobbies including painting. Ann was a talented artist, painting in both oil and water color. For many years, she performed volunteer work for Meals on Wheels and Dallas Shared Ministries. Ann participated in the Central Congregational Church, various clubs including golf, hat club, a bridge club, the Dallas Model A Club and the Lone Star Model T Club of Dallas. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25th at 2pm in the Meridian Chapel, 2228 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, TX. An additional memorial service will be held in Dallas, TX at a later date.
