Audrey adored her family & loved caring for her younger siblings always making sure they were warm on their long horse-drawn sleigh rides to school. After a brief stint as an actress in a leading role at Robbinsdale HS's play, "Where There's a Will, There's a Way," Bud swept her off her feet when she was just 16, and this romance, combined with the hard times of The Great Depression, led to their wedding on January 27, 1940 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church. Together they shared a wonderfully full life with family & friends from Robbinsdale to Richfield to Edina. Audrey played a key role helping Bud build his Gallagher & Associates real estate brokerage business, but her most valued life's work was as proud mother to her beloved children. Devoted to her family & a loyal friend to all, Audrey was also famous as the Master Baker of Crazy Cake, creating over 1000 of her deliciously decadent cakes for nearly every special occasion.
