Peterson, Jerol E. "Jerry" age 75, of Greenfield, MN, passed away peacefully Monday, March 2, 2015 at Park View Care Center in Buffalo, MN. He was born Jan. 1, 1940 in Lawton, ND to Clarence and Evelyn (Fossum) Peterson. The family moved to Warren, MN in 1948 where he grew up. He was united in marriage to Joy Herland on Oct. 22, 1970 and together they raised four children. His passions included spending time with his family, airplanes, snowmobiling, and growing the world's best tomatoes. He was as giving in death, as he is was in life, and donated his body to the U of M for research. He was preceded in death by his wife Joy, parents, and sister Betty Tulibaski. He is survived by children Shelli (Mike) Hess, Suzanne (Chad Conklin) Dallman, Scott (Dawn) Peterson, Shawn (Carrie Miner) Peterson; grandchildren Natasha, Jake H., Riley, Nick, Jake L.; brother Clark (Darla) Peterson; brother-in-law Frank Tulibaski, nieces, nephews, special friends Mike, Patty, and Nick Grates. Services will be held Friday, March 6 at the Montrose United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 6 pm with the service being held at 6 pm. A light meal and fellowship will follow. Memorials preferred to Disabled Veterans of Minnesota.
